The Editing Company opened its doors in December, 1979, and has steadily grown at the same Houston location through three major facility expansions. As a nationally-recognized video and audio production house, we’ve operated in the vanguard of innovation from the beginning. The Editing Company was first in Houston with the one-inch video format; first in Houston with the D2 video format; and first to make AVID non-linear editing capability widely available to local and regional clients. Today, this dedication to employ the newest technology in crafting the best product lies at the heart of our endeavors. Honored with Millimeter magazine’s national Facility Design Award, The Editing Company currently utilizes three, state-of-the-art Final Cut Pro HD video editing suites, fully interconnected on a high-speed XSAN storage network. We also operate a complete ProTools audio recording and editing studio, and a sophisticated central Tape Room that accommodates 12 distinct video formats. Our digital workflow and ergonomic setting provide the ideal environment to ignite creativity, and advance efficiency.
